GROWING: The grapes were grown on the original Leeton vineyard that Frank Bruno Senior planted in 1962. This site has proven to be a consistent producer of high quality wines. The warm summer climate produces wines with high levels of natural sweetness which suits this style of wine. WINE MAKING: This wine was made to a tawny port style. The red grapes were partially fermented on skins before draining into oak barrels for ageing. Prior to bottling, some younger fruity wine was blended with the aged wine to give lively fruit aromas to compliment the soft aged characters. FOOD: Excellent as an after dinner drink or with cheeses.
Frank Senior - Fine Old Tawny
